Welcome to the homepage for the Unit for Small Business Research. The following pages are designed to provide you with an overview of the range of activities that the USBR undertakes. We hope that you take this opportunity to learn more about our research activities, the types of research programs we are involved in.
About Us
The Unit for Small Business Research is built on a strong research and teaching ethos and involves colleagues at the Coleraine and Magee campuses. The USBR was established to enable members of staff to further develop their national and international research and teaching links. We have academic and commercial partners in New Zealand, Australia, USA, Sweden, Finland, Holland, Germany and the Republic of Ireland. The USBR undertakes research activities (both academic and consultative) in a variety of SME related areas such as: Small Firm Internationalisation, E-Business, E-Marketing, Small Firm Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management. In addition colleagues are engaged in delivering modules in International Business, E-Commerce, Customer Relationship Management and E-Marketing across a wide range of degree programs. The Unit comprises four full-time members of the academic staff and five full-time research students.
