Research supervision for the degree of MPhil and DPhil is
offered in the areas related to the research interests of
the department staff.
The further development of research is a priority

efforts of the department seek to acknowledge the way in which
these areas complement one another. Current areas of research
include: public sector accounting; charity accounting; corporate
dividend policy; information content of cash flow numbers;
initial public offerings; corporate governance; performance
measurement; accounting and performance measurement in NFPOs;
Irish published accounts; financial reporting standards; capital
markets; public finance initiative; and credit unions.
