The Academy continues to set the standard as a centre of excellence and this is shown by awards recently received - the Taste of Ulster Award for Excellence from the Northern Ireland Food & Drink Association (NIFDA) and following the audit by the Food Standards Agency the Academy has achieved the top grade of 5 in the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme (formally Scores on the Doors). The audit is based on how hygienically the food is handled, the condition of the structure of the buildings incl cleanliness and how the business manages and records what it does to make sure food is safe.
