Does the MBA have an international student intake?
Our MBA has welcomed students from all over the globe. In recent years students from countries such as the USA, India, China, Korea, Canada, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Argentina and Nigeria and Ghana have all chosen to study with us as well as students from European countries.

Interested in management consultancy post MBA?
Many students (indeed statistics say up to 50%) wish to either set up their own business or become business consultants. The course is specifically tailored (especially in assessment and practical teaching)to allow students to develop the necessary skills and expertise to allow this fulfilment.
How does the Ulster MBA help its participants with job hunting?
We have a career development centre which we work in partnership with to ensure students are prepared in the main elements of job hunting (psychometric testing, team interviews, assessment centres, CV building, presentations, etc)
What is the time commitment?
The full-time programme lasts 1 academic year with students having approximately 12 hours a week of lectures. The part-time programme has 6 hours of lectures a week. Both part and full-time students will be expected to do approximately 18 hours of personal study a week in addition to the taught sessions.
Where is the programme taught?
The full-time programme is taught at the Jordanstown campus, situated just outside Belfast. The part-time programmes are taught at our Jordanstown and Magee Campuses. Directions can be found via clicking on the campuses section on the University’s homepage.
Can I personalise the programme?
Students study a variety of subjects. The course is divided into core modules which everyone studies and optional modules which give students an opportunity to tailor the course to their own requirements.

What type of industry do students studying the part time programme come from?
Students currently studying the part-time programme come from a variety of backgrounds,
from public sector including local government, councils, NHS
from engineering companies
from manufacturing companies
from transport and communication companies.
What is the English language requirements for overseas students?
For those for whom English is not a first language an IELTS score of 6.0 must be achieved.
How long does it take to complete the part-time programme?
The MBA is designed to be flexible and can be completed in a few as 2, or as many as 5 years. Most students choose to complete in 2 or 3 years.
How many other students will be on the programme?
If you are following the full-time route the group size is approximately 25 students, the part-time route has a groups size of approximately 35 students.
